 List of Narrative Cycles

1.  The Shtetl: A Journey and a Memorial. Text and Nine Original Prints, 1971.11 ¾ inches x 15 3/8 inches, 1971. Concerns the Holocaust in an Eastern European community.

2.   Children of Paradise, 1980. Drawing, 44 inches x 24 feet. Based on the motion picture of that name.

3.   The Drawing Class, 1981. Drawing, 44 inches x 13 feet.

4.   The Circle of Life, 1984-1985. 11 unstretched paintings, ranging from 70 to 95 inches x 70 to 85 inches. Concerns the human cycle of life.

5 .  The Scroll, 1987. Drawing, 94 feet x 44 ½ inches. A personal account of Jewish history based on the Bible, Jewish legends, personal and contemporary history.

6.   1492/1942, 1991. Triptych painting, 51 inches x 71 inches; 47 ½ inches x 80 inches; 50 ½ inches x 72 inches. Concerns expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492 and escape from Europe  during World War II.

7.   Passing Over, 1992. Drawing and mixed media installation with audio, 24 feet by 3 feet.

8.   Isaac’s Heirs, 1993. Mixed media installation including audio, 9 feet x 20 feet.

9.   Sisters and Brothers, 1994. Mixed media installation, 13 feet x 18 feet in diameter. Concerns lives of Leah, Rachel, Jacob and Esau.

10. Mysteries, 1996. Drawing based on the Villa of Mysteries, Pompeii, 54 inches x 28 feet.

11. Initiation, 1997. Mixed media drawing based on the Villa of Mysteries, Pompeii, 51 inches x 28 feet.

12. “Canto 5: A Whirlwind of Lovers” 1999. Drawing, 12 feet x 23 feet. Based on Dante’s Canto 5.

13. Haggadah Series, 2001. Mixed media drawings, 30 inches x 22 ¼ inches; 30 inches x 22 ½ inches; 30 inches x 22 ¼ inches. Based on the book read at the Passover seder (meal).

14. New Beginnings: 100 Years of Jewish Immigration, 2006. Mixed media drawing, 114 inches x 29 feet. Depicts Jewish immigration to the United States and to Israel.
